How do I make a purchase?

Making a contract with us.

When you place a order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your order. Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will email you again to confirm that we accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us. Payment will be taken at the time of ordering as our products are prepared to order.

If in the unlikely event, the goods are no longer available, we may supply you with substitute goods. If you decide not to accept the susbstitute goods, you will not have to pay to return them to us.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse through our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept most credit and debit cards.

Delivery and other Special Instruction

Orders are dispatched by Parcelforce and a signature is required on delivery. If you will not be at home, consider providing a work address or that of neighbour who willl be available, otherwise the parcel will be taken to your nearest Post Office for collection.

All orders are carefully packed using polyboxes, icepacks and polystyrene chips to ensure that the products arrive at their destination in perfect condition. The poly boxes are then placed within a Rannoch Smokery presentation sleeve (as seen below)

We aim to ship orders with 48 hours of being placed (orders placed after 10am on Friday will be processed on Monday)

All orders should arrive within 5 days.

How much is delivery?

All orders over £50 are free delivery within UK mainland. £3.95 is charged on all orders under this value within UK mainland.

We deliver to UK Islands, Eire and Northern Ireland at £14.95 per shipment.

If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.

Shelf Life

The products have a minimum shelf life as follows, but in practise they may have considerably longer:-

Smoked Venison, Smoked Carpaccio and Smoked Prosciutto –35 days,
Smoked Lamb – 30 Days,
Smoked Pates – 20 Days,
Smoked Duck, Smoked Chicken, Smoked Pheasant and Smoked Goose – 15 Days,
Smoked Salmon – 15 Days
Smoked Goats Cheese and Smoked Brie – 15 Days,
Smoked Cheddar – 6 weeks

Credit Card Security

All Credit Cards are processed online by Protx on their secure servers. Protx take the credit card details and process the payment on our behalf, they do not pass your credit card details to us. Returns Policy

You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after delivery. To do this please email or write to us.

You do not have to give any reason for cancellation, however, a brief explanation will help us improve the service we offer to customers in the future.

If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are adequately packed to protect against damage.

If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights - for example, if the goods are faulty or misdescribed.
